Here is my expertly produced tutorial for using the SCHTHACK PSOBB Server. It has a professionally orchestrated musical score as well. Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst - SCHTHACK Tutorial. Here is the video game “Phantasy Star Online”! Fellow retro gamers also downloaded these games: Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst abandonware. As a result, every Phantasy Star Online server offers its own flavor version of a 16-year-old game, each paired with a freely downloadable Blue Burst client that Sega seems happy to turn a blind.

Don't you love it when you wake up in the middle of the night with the worlds best idea? Me too. Don't you hate it when you realize that you should have thought of the worlds greatest idea, like, 5 years ago? Yeah, me too again.
Someone at Sega must be feeling that pain. They finally realized that instead of trying to ram that big ol' square peg through the round hole, they would take the time and make a friggin' round peg.
Okay, that was confusing. Simply replace the words 'square peg' with 'The Phantasy Star Online series' and 'round hole' with 'game consoles that don't really have online support like the GameCube' and you'll get it. Actually, that's confusing too, now that I have requested my buxom secretary to read it back to me..yes, videogame journalists ALL have buxom secretarys. That's how we get to talk to women. We have to pay them.
Finally, PSO comes to the PC, where it should have debuted over 5 years ago. Back then the PC was online and fine while the Dreamcast was not exactly the best way to play with people all over the world. Thankfully someone at Sega realized that this is the way it should have been all along and have made it so.
From the screenshots received from the fine folks at Sega, PSO has never looked better thanks to the horsepower of the average gaming PC these days. Admittedly I'm not a fan of online RPGs and I'm pretty damn sure I won't EVER play this game unless some maniac forces his way into my office and holds a gun to my head, but nevertheless I've heard that some of you actually do enjoy a good online RPG romp now and then.
Blue Burst will be available via download this Spring. If you do happen to see me online playing this one, call the police! Thanks in advance.

Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst was released on Windows in Japan on July 15, 2004 and later in North America/Europe on June 23, 2005. The game was free to play in it's final days before the servers were taken offline on March 31st, 2008. The Japanese servers were also eventually shut down on December 27, 2010. The game client, manual, keyboard layout, and others (such as a font pack and wallpapers) were free downloads via the game's official site.

Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst was a little different from it's predecessor(s). The offline mode that was present in earlier versions was removed. The game required a constant internet connection to the game server to be played. With the official servers now offline several talented individuals wrote server software compatible with the game client. There are several server projects in various stages. Some of the more popular ones are:
- Schthack
- originally written by Schthack with contributions by others
- client version ??
- proprietary
- Tethealla (note: forums currently offline)
- written by Terry Chatman Jr. (aka Sodaboy)
- requires a modified TethVer12510 client
- open source
- Khyller/Aeon/newserv
- written by Fuzziqer
- compatible with the official 1.24.3 US client
- open source
This documentation will focus on the unmodified1 1.24.3 US client connecting to Fuzziqer's Khyller or Aeon/newserv projects. If you've played the game on the official servers you should already have the latest version of the game client installed. If not you'll need to re-download the client and install (and update) the game again. Since the official download page is currently offline you'll need to search for the files below. Please be sure to verify the hashes against the ones listed below. I'll add links as they're found and confirmed working.

Instructions
- Install the game using 'Setup.exe'
- Update the game by extracting the contents of 'manual-update-1.24.3-US.zip' to your installation folder
- Copy 'launch.exe' from 'psobb-gameguard-launcher.zip' to your installation folder
- Add the following entries to your hosts 4 file, replacing 127.0.0.1 with the ip address of the machine running the server.
- Under Windows 5, extract 'Khyller.zip' and run the server by double clicking 'khyller-server.exe' 6,.
- If you've installed the game using the default settings you can run it with the following:(or run it from a compiled source directory)
Walkthrough (getting in-game)
When you start the game with launch.exe a small menu appears. You can configure the game's settings (windowed mode, sound, graphic detail, etc.) by choosing 'Options' from this menu. Once you're satisfied with your changes click the 'Save' button at the options menu to save your changes. When you're returned to the small menu click 'Cancel' to exit the game 7.
Start the game with launch.exe. At the small menu click 'Start Game'. https://celestialenterprise287.weebly.com/cooking-games-ice-cream-banana-download.html. You'll see the GameGuard window pop up in the top left hand corner:
It should disappear almost instantly. If you continue to see the GameGuard window downloading updates it means that Fuzziqer's launcher failed to find the correct address in memory. Click the 'Cancel' button to close the window. After a second or two GameGuard will complain that you shut it's window, preventing it from updating:
Click the 'OK' button to dismiss this dialog. Start the game again with launch.exe and select 'Start Game' at the small menu. You'll need to repeat this process until the GameGuard window is automatically closed by Fuzziqer's launcher. (it happens almost instantly) If it's successful the game's main window will open and you'll be at the title screen:

The server is configured to allow any UserID/Password combination though I've created an account that includes a pre-made character to test with.
Press the 'Enter' key to 'select' a field (it will turn green when you are able to type). Use 'test' for both the UserID and Password. Once entered you'll be returned to the main menu. You should see '[test]' at the bottom (in gold text). Js mills on liberty pdf.
The 'Start Game' menu item should now be enabled. Click it.
Phantasy Star Online Private Server
You'll be taken to a screen informing you that you are connected to 'The Fuzziqer Software PSO Server':
Press your 'Enter' key to continue. The next screen is the character selection screen. If you used the test account I created you'll now see a character named 'test'.
Select her and click the 'confirm' menu item or create a new character by selecting any available slot and pressing your 'Enter' key. 8
Once you select your character you'll see the bursting screen with the white text 'Connecting.' on the left.

At this point Wine will crash with a page fault unless you're using the open source Radeon or nouveau Nvidia drivers.9 https://playgrey.weebly.com/microtype-5-free-download-for-mac.html.
The screen that follows is the 'Ship Select' screen.
Select 'PSOBB on Wine' and press your 'Enter' key. The options change and you'll now need to select a lobby.
Select 'Lobby 1' and press your 'Enter' key. You'll immediately find your character standing in the first lobby of the current block.

You can chat with others or walk up to the front desk to form a group.
Additional notes
1 Some server projects require modified clients to connect. We're using the original game client with the last up-to-date US patches to eliminate the possibility that their modifications have changed something that would hamper/impeded interoperability.
2 Source code is included. I compiled this with TDM-GCC. (see the included readme for more info) The original source code is available from Fuzziqer's project page.
3 This is a repack of Fuzziqer's server preconfigured for quick testing. (see the included 'instructions.txt' for more info) Or, if you'd like to start from scratch you can download the original binaries from Fuzziqer's project page.
4 You can edit your hosts file on linux via the following command:
Worcester bosch greenstar 24i junior user manual. 5 Khyller does not currently run under Wine. If you don't have dedicated Windows box you could also use a virtual machine to run the server.
6 The server needs the following ports open on your firewall/router:
7 Depending on the user's choice 'online.exe' launches either 'option.exe' or 'PsoBB.exe'. When 'option.exe' closes it launches 'online.exe' to display the menu. Fuzziqer's 'launch.exe' works by running 'online.exe' and monitoring the memory of 'PsoBB.exe' so that it can suppress the GameGuard error dialog. The current version of his launcher doesn't do anything with 'option.exe' - hence the need to re-run it if the game's options are changed.
8Bug #27293 Cannot type a character name, create a party name, or chat will prevent you from creating a new character at this point. (That's the reason a preconfigured account/character was provided with the server repack.)
9Bug #12964 Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst crashes occurs here and will lock up the game. You'll need to forcibly terminate it using System Monitor (or equivalent).
